7 Inch HID Spotlights & Driving Lights

The most popular sized hid driving light is the 7". It fits on any standard bull bar and is only 85mm from the centre of the bolt to the back of the light.
As for most 4x4 spotlights, our clients want a powerful hid driving light that can withstand harsh condition and does not cost the earth.
Probably the best part about our7" 4wd spotlights is that if you do break anything, every part is replaceable with limited pain to the wallet.
You can get a set of our 7 Inch driving lights in a spot beam or a euro beam. We call them spotlights or driving lights generically, other names are pencil beam for the spot, or flood or wide beam for the euro. The spot beam is around 5 degrees of concentrated light, which in the 100w, will give you a massive 2-3km in distance, and a wash of light of around 15 degrees which is great if you a getting 2x spots. The Euro or wide beam is named because instead of the older square style flood beam patterns, the newer euro beam corrugation in the reflectors, spread the light wide across the road and also out into the distance, (in the 100w, a lot of clients get 2x euro these days as they find that they still get plenty of distance, as well as plenty of width).

Are these the Best 4WD Spotlights I can Buy?

Good Question! And to give you a brief honest answer, these are mid-range driving lights, it means they are not cheap and nasty copies, but they don't have a brand name attached to them such as Hella, (and they are ABS, not aluminium. We have a good heavy duty 9" aluminium bodied driving light here -> Heavy Duty 9 Inch Spotlights.
The main features that make us a good choice to deal with are that we have been in business for 20+ years in the auto electrical supply industry, and we make sure our driving lights have a few stringent criteria.
#1. The ABS housings are properly engineered to be robust in high/low temperatures, are UV rated, which means the plastic won't break down quickly over time and become brittle, crack, and fall apart.
#2. The bulbs are all UV rated, so as not to damage reflectors and lenses by burning them, or leaving "fog" marks which limits the lenses light efficacy, (how much light gets through the lens).
#3. The ballasts are AC/DC rated for current stability, and once you get up to the 100W, they are hand-picked by me and are pretty much the best 100W ballasts you can buy today.
So to summarise, in my opinion, they are the best hid driving lights for the price. $200/light for the 100w including delivery, harness, covers, and a 5yr warranty is well worth it. Our clients love the amount of light they get out of them, and we pride ourselves on giving the best after sales service and support, we look after our clients ;)

Do you have any Tips for Fitting HID Driving Lights?

Yes i do. Because every cars electrical system is different, and even though hid's are relatively simple, in that they are polarity sensitive and have two main wires, power and earth, we advise that you use the relay harness and switch that comes with the lights, and because people hook them up to the high beams, we also advise you to get a competent auto electrician to do it for you.
Although the hid's systems are relatively simple, there are factors involved in having the right knowledge of the vehicles headlight system, for doubling up on switching, that in some cases the auto electrician will figure out for you, (such as earth switched headlight systems). We also have generic high beam adapters for free, but they only work on standard actively switched vehicles, so we advise getting an auto electrician to fit your lights for you. We include everything you need to fit the lights, but it is always prudent to get a professional to fit hid driving lights and spotlights.
That's all for now, if you need more detailed information or have questions you need to be answered feel free to call us as we are here to help!
